“What’s ‘indie pop’?” she asked me blankly. All I could think of to explain it was 20 Minute Loop’s album, Famous People Marry Famous People. So, I put it on the turntable and cranked up the hi-fi. She tilted her head, smiled, and after two songs, proclaimed, “I really, really like this.” Not surprising to those familiar with the freak-pop sound of these longtime San Francisco icons. Reunions like this don’t happen every day, come out and witness 20 Minute Loop’s melodic perfection while you still can.
