Ash is the kind of person who engages constantly with the world around her find the poetry in life and turning it to song. But Ash didn't always have this gift, in fact she may have never a band at all if it hadn't been for a college room mate who noticed the genuine talent behind the silly songs she wrote for friends, like the one about a cute boy her worked at Safeway. Encouraged to pursue song writing in earnest Ash started her first band in Santa Cruz. Soon they were offered gigs to open for established acts like Dirty Projectors and Port O'Brien. Ash has toured the West Coast extensively, done a solo national tour, played Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle alongside MGMT, participated in the local Noise Pop Festival, had several successful showcases at SXSW and is a local favorite in the Bay Area. After several band line ups Ash hastaken up with a cozy little family of musicians- boyfriend- Will Halsey, brothers- Drew and Scott Brown and the bearded baby of the band Anthony Ferraro.
