on Brick And Mortar
When the easy-does-it rock jangle of SF trio Bare Wires sparks up, it’s easy to see why they’ve garnered their fair share of electrifying national ac- colades. Their latest album, Cheap Perfume, douses enough guitar-forward garage-pop to make any California kid yearn to live in their own perpetual summertime funhouse. With equal parts scruffy ‘70s groove, and a fondness for mustaches, dirty leathers, and simply menacing riffs, Bare Wires occupies the sort of unbridled rock bravado that made the move- ment so endearing in the first place.
